Maria’s new EP The Merryville Sessions was released on Bandcamp in September 2025, and features a stellar cast of folk and bluegrass musicians as well as Maria’s powerful voice and evocative songs – check out the player below to listen and buy.
Maria has been writing original songs since 2012, shaped by a broad palette of musical influences. Many of her songs focus on the eternal themes of love, loss and the search for home. She also draws inspiration from the stark beauty of the West Yorkshire countryside close to her 
home. Maria has been performing these songs live on stage for many years and in 2020 she finally started to record them, collaborating remotely (and later on, in the studio) with exceptional musician pals from both sides of the Atlantic. Five years on, the project has finally come to fruition, with the EP The Merryville Sessions released on Bandcamp in September 2025! Mixing and mastering was done by the highly respected Josh Clark at Get Real Audio down in Wiltshire, and Maria ran a successful Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign in the spring to help cover the significant cost of the project.
